Celtic Reinstates Green Brigade Supporters Ahead of Key Home Matches

Celtic has officially lifted the suspension of the Green Brigade supporters group, effective from Saturday's home game against St Mirren. This decision follows an initial six-game ban imposed on approximately 200 individuals in early November due to violent and threatening behaviour during a match against Falkirk in late October. The suspension was extended in December due to ongoing safety incidents. Manager Martin O'Neill noted in February that there had been some positive developments following discussions between the club and the Green Brigade. On 27 March, at a meeting of the Glasgow City Council Safety Advisory Group, the club readdressed the suspension. The SAG confirmed it did not object to lifting the suspension, provided three conditions were met: Adherence to all applicable policies, including season ticket terms and conditions. Compliance with safety and security operations by members. Submission of a match-by-match report to the Safety Advisory Group for as long as deemed necessary. Celtic communicated these conditions to the Green Brigade, which responded positively, agreeing to the outlined terms. Following the match against St Mirren, Celtic will host three more home fixtures this season, against Falkirk on 25 April, Rangers on 10 May, and Hearts on 16 May. Interim chairman Brian Wilson expressed his satisfaction, stating, "A full and united Celtic Park can get behind the team at this crucial point in the season."
