Jarell Quansah Reflects on Liverpool Exit and Pursues England World Cup Dream

Bayer Leverkusen defender Jarell Quansah describes his departure from Liverpool as a "no-brainer". The 23-year-old made the move to the Bundesliga last summer for £35m, after coming through the Reds' academy and making 58 appearances for the first team. Quansah signed a five-year contract with Leverkusen, seeking more playing time, and has already made 38 appearances this season. He shared with Sky Sports News that the management's clear vision and attention to detail regarding his potential were significant factors in his decision. "It was a no-brainer. I just wanted to play. The Bundesliga's a top league, and being able to play in the Champions League and top games, like the semi-final against Bayern next Wednesday, is massive." Reflecting on his time at Liverpool, Quansah emphasized the importance of trusting his instincts. He took time to consider his options and ultimately felt that joining Leverkusen was the right choice. Quansah also expressed his ambition to make the England World Cup squad. After withdrawing from the latest selection due to a thigh injury, he is determined to make an impact in the remaining games of the season. "It would be a great privilege to be in the squad. I can only convince them on the pitch, and I'm going to attack these last games with Leverkusen. If I manage to make the squad, then I'm happy. If not, we just keep working." As he aims for international recognition, Quansah remains focused on his performance and contributions to his club.
