Major Changes at Gloucester as Matias Alemanno Leads 12 Departures

Matias Alemanno, the seasoned Argentina lock, will depart Gloucester this summer, marking a significant shift for the club as they announce he is among 12 first-team players leaving ahead of the next season. The 34-year-old has made 99 appearances for the Kingsholm side. Head coach George Skivington praised Alemanno’s contributions, stating, "Matty has been unbelievable since I brought him in right at the start of the process. He is a proper warrior... It will be a sad day when we have to say goodbye to him." Joining Alemanno on the leavers list is Kirill Gotovtsev, who will retire after playing 87 matches since joining in 2021. Skivington noted, "Kirill is a brilliant character... he has been brilliant around the place." Additionally, several academy players are confirmed to depart: George Dufty, Ollie Minnis, Dan O'Reilly, Rhys Price, Dan Owen, Pete Paramore, Rio Ebanks, and Freddie Stevens.
