Rangers Set to Welcome PSV Eindhoven Winger Couhaib Driouech

PSV Eindhoven winger Couhaib Driouech is in Ibrox to witness Rangers face Jagiellonia Bialystok, as he prepares for a transfer to the Scottish Premiership club. The 24-year-old Moroccan is anticipated to finalize his move on Friday. Driouech, who primarily operates on the left flank, had an impressive last season, scoring nine goals and providing eight assists in 40 appearances. However, his playing time was limited, starting only once in PSV's eight Champions League matches and coming off the bench 24 times in the Eredivisie. Before joining PSV in the summer of 2024, Driouech spent three seasons at Excelsior Rotterdam, where he made a significant impact, featuring in 101 matches and netting 16 goals. He has also represented Morocco at the Under-23 level, contributing to their victory in the Under-23 Africa Cup of Nations. This transfer marks Driouech as the 10th summer signing for Rangers and the second winger added to the squad, following Daisuke Yokota's arrival from Hannover last week. Chairman Andrew Cavenagh indicated on Monday that he expects "three to five more players" to join the team, while also confirming the sale of midfielder Mohamed Diomande to Turkish club Corum on Wednesday. Known for his agility, speed, and precise finishing, Driouech also had the option to represent France and the Netherlands, but chose to play for Morocco.
