Woodson criticized the team's lack of a solid plan, suggesting they missed an opportunity to draft Jaxson Dart during the 2025 NFL Draft. Should the Steelers fail to re-sign Rodgers, their offseason strategy will be in jeopardy, as they have not pursued top free agent quarterbacks like Malik Willis and Kyler Murray. Possible alternatives include Kirk Cousins, Joe Flacco, Jimmy Garoppolo, and Russell Wilson. Additionally, with the 21st overall pick in the upcoming draft, the Steelers might consider quarterbacks like Ty Simpson or Carson Beck. McCarthy, who has previously enjoyed success with Rodgers at the Green Bay Packers, believes the quarterback would be a great asset.
